Seafarer Certifications
We are approved seafarer medical examiners in Singapore issuing fitness to work certification aligned with SCTW and ILO MLC 2006 standards for
- Singapore under the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
- Malaysia under the Malaysia Marine Department (MMD)
- Norway under the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA)
(United Kingdom MCA ENG1 equivalent) UK MCA recognizes the Norwegian seafarer’s medical certificate, and it is acceptable for use in UK ships - Belize under the Belize Port Authority (BPA)
- Liberia under the Liberian Maritime Authority (LiMA)
We are also able to conduct medical examinations and complete forms for:

We conduct PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination) for P&I (Protection and Indemnity) clubs as a mandatory or enhanced health screening for seafarers before they sign an employment contract or board the vessel in Singapore

We help facilitate the transfer process based on the crew member’s clinical needs, travel fitness and the receiving facility’s requirements, supporting continuity of care from the vessel to shore-based medical services.

Yes. Our two medical centres provide a convenient, one-stop examination experience, with a comprehensive range of medical assessments and diagnostic investigations conducted in-house.

The tests required depend on the applicable certification standards and the seafarer’s medical assessment. Our integrated facilities help minimise unnecessary travel and downtime.
The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) ENG 1 certificate must be issued by an MCA-approved doctor. However, there is currently no MCA-approved doctor in Singapore.
Norwegian seafarer medical certificates are recognised by the UK MCA as equivalent to ENG 1, for seafarers working on UK vessels. For the latest requirements, refer to the UK MCA’s official guidance on equivalent seafarer medical certificates.

A seafarer medical certificate is generally valid for up to two years, depending on the applicable maritime authority’s requirements.
The validity period may be shorter depending on the seafarer’s age, medical condition and the issuing authority’s framework.
Yes, in straightforward cases, certification may be issued on the same day, provided all required tests and assessments are completed and no further investigations or medical reviews are necessary.
Cases requiring additional tests, specialist reports or further assessment may take longer.
